DESIGNBYGAVRIELA was established in 2023, by me Charl at 22 years old, I had just finished University studying Fashion Design and decided I wanted to move back to the North, at this point I knew getting a job within the fashion Industry was going to be hard. I wanted to work for a company that was sustainable and let you have some freedom of creativity. Then when working for a fashion company my mum told me to quit and to find my own shop. which was the birth of DESIGNBYGAVRIELA. I opened a store in Southport where I offer alterations, custom orders, my own designs,Ready to wear, embroidery and selling fabric by the metre . Oh and I also do sewing lessons...

I wanted to create a one stop shop for all things sewing.

I have been sewing since i was 7 years old and was taught by my Granny, I used to make and sell all different things I had made on my grandmas sewing machine. Then I got my own and just never stopped sewing.

My dream was to always have my own fashion business with my very own creations and this is a dream I am proudly living. I am also proud to have had DESIGNBYGAVRIELA nominated for two awards within the first 6 month of opening. I hope you like my collections and visit DESIGNBYGAVRIELA again soon.
